Greg Wimmer, CFC, CLU, CSSC   

Greg Wimmer began his career in the financial services arena in 1973. Upon graduation from Texas Tech University, he assumed a position with a major New England life insurance company and was the leader in the company fro first year associates in the Sales and Sales Management Training Program in 1974.

He quickly advanced through the management ranks being named the youngest general agent in the company in 1982. His agency won numerous company and industry awards including the National Management Award and the second highest company recognition for succeeding as a dynamic and fast growing marketing and sales organization.

During this time, he held a Series 6 and Series 22 securities license in addition to his insurance license. He also holds the Chartered Financial Consultant (1984), Chartered Life Underwriter (1978) and Certified Structured Settlement Consultant (1995) designations.

In 1989, Mr. Wimmer entered the structured settlement business, joining one of the largest national structured settlement companies in the industry. After several years, he founded and was President of a successful structured settlement company with offices in seven states. Upon a series of mergers and changes, Mr. Wimmer joined Summit Settlement Services in 2004.

Since 1989, Mr. Wimmer has worked on settlements involving, insurance companies, local governments, self-insureds, state governments and the federal government.

He also has an active litigation consulting and expert witness practice in the areas of life and health insurance, annuities, disability income, underwriting, claims and ERISA plans, having been engaged in cases in 13 states including both Federal and state courts.
