Brian Zimmerman, Ph.D. MBA, CSSC, AVA 
Dr.
Ward Brian Zimmerman is a testifying expert and certified
settlement specialist who has been assisting attorneys nationwide
for over 20 years. He has provided expert testimony in depositions
and trials in federal, state, and admiralty courts. Dr. Zimmerman
is one of fewer than 400 structured settlement professionals
holding the designation of Certified Structured Settlement
Consultant through the executive program at the University
of Notre Dame.
Dr. Zimmerman holds a Ph.D. in Educational Policy and Administration,
an MBA in Finance and undergraduate degrees in Economics and
Political Science from the University of Kansas. Dr. Zimmerman
wrote his doctoral dissertation on the economic value of lifetime
earnings and has published and presented papers on the time
value of money and individuals' future earnings potential.
He has more than 9 years teaching experience in both Business
and Education. He continues to teach Continuing Legal Education
classes on subjects such as ethics and pecuniary evaluation
calculations.
In addition to Dr. Zimmerman's academic achievements, he:
• has held executive administrative positions at the
University of Kansas, Murray State University, and Appalachian
State University;
• is currently a charter member of the American Bar Association:
Law Practice Management Section;
• is a member of the National Association of Forensic
Economics, the National Structured Settlement Trade Association,
and the American Educational Research Association
• is a charter member of Structured Settlement Planners;
and
• is an accredited Valuation Analyst from the National
Association of Certified Valuation Analysts.
